Jim Porter asked me to send this out: The column of black smoke you may see in the north east sky is another fire that just started. Apparently a mobile home is burning on the north side of Tumalo Road near 78th street. Winds are blowing toward the south. As a precaution, the road access gate from Starwood to Hunnell road near the RV park is being opened just in case the fire jumps Tumalo road and spreads our direction. Fire crews are on site, and there is NO DANGER AT THIS TIME. But please check on your neighbors, especially the elderly, and make sure we're all in communication in case the situation changes.
