Starwood Neighborhood Food Drive to assist Fire Evacuees Thursday, September 17, 2020 9:00-3:00

We will be holding another food drive to help out the many people in Oregon that have been displaced or otherwise impacted by the catastrophic wildfires in the State.  While we have been choking on the smoke from the fires, many others in towns and communities throughout Oregon have lost their homes, belongings and - saddest of all, some have lost loved ones and friends.

Since the Starwood Community has proven to be generous in helping folks in need, we are organizing another Food Drive to be held this coming Thursday. If you have the resources to spare please consider participating.  All donations will be taken directly to The Giving Plate in Bend for distribution in the name of Starwood Homeowners

Drop Off Location is the same as last time - Grover house - 64770 Starwood Dr (Across from Galaxy Park - south end) at the date and times listed above.  We will have a shade tent set up so it will be hard to miss.

If you are unsure what to donate, there are several websites available to help you decide.   Since many people had to leave their homes with little notice, we have heard that toiletry items; soap, razors, shampoo, feminine products, etc are particularly useful.  As noted in our spring COVID food drive - when donating food, non-perishable items are the most useful. Cash donations are also welcomed and no donation is too small to make a difference.
